Tamera Mowry
"Hope"
Tamera Mowry portrays Hope, a strong willed former executive who is secretly working at a coffee shop. She is happy to be living with her best friend Katie, but is not pleased when Mark moves in...especially since he knows the truth about her fast paced life.
Mowry is perhaps best known as one half of the eponymous twins on "Sister, Sister," the long-running hit sitcom. She also recently starred on Lifetime's "Strong Medicine," as well as in several films and television movies.
Mowry, the daughter of an army sergeant, was born in Germany two minutes ahead of twin sister Tia. By the time she turned two, however, the family had moved to Texas where the twins began competing in pageants. When the acting bug bit, the family relocated again to southern California. It was there that her brother Tahj garnered a recurring role on the smash hit television series "Full House," which led to the twins getting cast as the character 'Denise.' When producer Irene Dreayer was creating a new show about twins separated at birth she remembered Mowry and her sister and cast them in the starring roles opposite veteran actor Tim Reid. "Sister, Sister" would run for six years and see a long life in syndication.
In 2000 the twins re-teamed with brother Tahj to star in the Showtime tele-film "Seventeen Again". She quickly followed that project with 2001's "Something to Sing About" and in 2002 Mowry was back on the big screen in the Rob Schneider vehicle "The Hot Chick", co-starring Rachel McAdams. In 2005 she starred in the Disney Channel movie "Twitches" and then returned to television comedy in 2006, voicing the character of 'Esther' in the FOX mega-hit "The Family Guy."
Education always played a featured role in Mowry's life and she graduated from Pepperdine University in 2001 with a degree in Psychology.
